South African Blues Rock Singer-Songwriter Ross Harding has released his latest maxi-single, Everything Is Black, which features a grooving, sludgy, hard rock sound with lyrical themes about death, the Apocalypse, doom, and gloom.
The release also includes two bonus tracks: a live cover of Black Sabbath’s ‘War Pigs’ and a live version of Ross’ original song ‘Dark City Blues’. The new release is hot on the heels of his successful EP ‘Chapter II’, and solidifies Ross’ position as one of the top performers in his genre.
According to Ross, Everything Is Black explores the apocalypse and doom themes. However, the interpretation of the song’s meaning is left up to individual listeners. The artwork for the release, created by tattoo artist Wayne Pictor, reflects these themes with its imagery of death and the Grim Reaper. Ross also reveals that there is a direct stab at governments and corporations who continue to destroy the world, but ultimately he wants the listener to make their own personal connection with his music.
